This is Little Manea’s Website…..we all live in the village of Manea, however where we are is just outside the main village. We are made up of workplace homes(Workplace homes are a house and unit as one) and we are not a residential development but rather we are classed as an industrial development – it is the biggest workplace homes development in Europe!
This blog has been set up with the help of Cambridge County Council, and Willam Perrin, as part of a trial, called ‘Talk about Local’ …..Ten people who live in Charlemont Drive or Short Drove volunteered to ‘try it’ out for a couple of months!
We then opened it up to all those who live here in July 2010!!
It is a website for those of us who live in Charlemont Drive and the roads leading off. I believe this to be a great little community, with a good community spirit: I want this blog to build on that spirit and help the community…if we don’t care who will?
We have a number of issues that need to be resolved ……so please click on those headings to get an update of where we are at with each of them. However, this blog is about more than those issues, so please let us know about anything you would like to celebrate, or tell people about – we hope that we will be able to publicise all sorts of community get-togethers in the future, and that this blog will help neighbours to connect with one another. To someone visiting in the Autumn of 2010, we seem to be obsessed with sewage, but it won’t always be like that!!

On behalf of Charlemont drive we would like to give Dave and Jackie Payne a very big “THANKYOU” for all their hard work and support. I think we will all agree that they have been tremendous, and extremely professional. As they are very busy people, we are very lucky that we have the two of them on board and will continue supporting them in everything they do with regards to Charlemont Drive. Keep up the good work Jackie and Dave, we are 100% behind you.
A bit belated I know! I too would like to say a big thank you to David and Jackie for all their hard work. Without them I don’t believe we would have had such a positive start to resolving our issues. There would have been a lot of hard work and time involved to get this campaign started in such a professional manner.
Also a big thank you to all the commitee members and everyone involved for all their hard work and giving up their free time.
Its great to know that the sewage issue is at present resolved. And having all the street lights working is a fantastic achievement.
